::
Who we are ::
Our
company has been dedicated to treating ceramic figurines since 1989.
Its
creator, María Ángeles Anglada, studied sculpture at
the Bellas Artes School of Zaragoza (Spain), between 1985 and 1988.
Immidiately afterwards she began her professional career creating
models that with the course of time have become part of the beautiful
collection that you can now admire.
::
Birth of a figurine ::
The
declared purpose of our models is to create a warm atmosphere and
in order to reach it, our departure point is a mere drawing that inspires
our sculpturer into creating a new form when working the clay.
Once finished the original first piece, we iniciate a very delicate
and quite longlasting process to the production of the pattern.
The patterns are necessary to create each and every figurine as during
the process. The are filled with clay. Sometimes, one figurine requires
various patterns as each part of every model is very carefully manufactured
-the head, the arms, the legs, the feet, etc.-.
When the patterns are ready, they are filled with clay and when the
clay begins to dry, we open the patterns and we obtain the desired
form.
The little pieces of a model are united before the clay has totally
dried. Then, they follow the way to their mending and then they finally
are burnt at a temperature of 1000 ºC.
This is when the most delicate and important step of the process begins:
The decoration of each little sculpture.
After years of attemps, we have ended obtaining some singular colours
and shades that emphasize the expression of the figurines, giving them
the special touch of our name.
We can offer various decorations -bronze, terracotta and colour- for
each of these alternatives we create tender shades and tones which
are very pleasant and make the figurines emanate ligth or darkness.
All the production process occurs in our company, with our people,
capable persons who have been formed and guided by María Ángeles Anglada.
